Department of Pharmacy Practice

Bharathi College of Pharmacy introduced Pharm.D course in the year 2010. The Department of Pharmacy Practice has taken responsibility of the Pharm D course. Under Pharm D programme our department has provides patient safety, patient counselling and pharmaceutical care services to patients attending mandya institute of medical sciences, with a view of not only to provide clinical pharmacy training to the students but also to inform the recent development in the field pharmaceutical care along with enriching knowledge regarding the safety aspects of the drug therapy related to the presently available drug products.

We have MOU with the Mandya institute of medical sciences hospital MIMS for conducting the regular practiclas, clerkship activities and intenship posting .The department is having extended wing in the Mandya institute of medical sciences hospital, Mandya as a recognised drug information centre to provide drug information to the health care providers and patients. To provide clinical pharmacy services we are using the software named Lexicomp which is having vast information about the drugs including possible drug interaction, adverse drug reaction, contraindication, precaution and also dose to be used for the special conditions.

The student of 2012-2018 batch Dr.Bethsa liza Johnson has secured 6 gold medals from the Rajiv Gandhi University Of Health Sciences(RGUHS, Bangalore) for securing highest marks in all 6 years in the state. All the Pharm.D passout students were well placed in India and abroad countries.
